Born in Windsor England, Oran Rahmani was raised in a confluence of Irish and Iranian families. His life was a kaleidoscope of societies with a blending of politics, religious and cultural forces.

Growing up in Malta, Ireland, Texas, Canada and most recently Los Angeles, Oran has lived and traveled to over a dozen countries leading to a global cultural perspective.

Skeptically reexamining the particular underpinning of each society and with the desire to cause others to question their conditioning, Oran's messages began to take the form of visual art.

Early work in culture jamming and tagging gave way to guerrilla street art sculptures of giant dominoes frozen in collapse, conveying actions and outcomes and the moment in between. These pieces, in a range of sizes and scales, are mounted all over LA, NYC, Chicago, Vancouver at culturally significant locations as totems to passersby. A visual medication, a prescription to alter the senses of the casual, distracted viewer and through a surreal juxtaposition of an impossible moment halted in time with the rush of modern life, he tries to bring the viewer back into the present.

After engaging people with street art infront of the ad firm (Trigger) in Calgary, Oran was invited in and quickly mentored into the advertising industry. Changing minds and actions through visual means was not a great leap.

Within twelve months Oran became the art director at Immersion Creative. Working on local and nation projects, he received a silver at the Summit International Awards and an Applied Arts Award for his concept for a national Multiple Sclerosis awareness campaign.
